Easy to produce (no skilled bar staff or expensive equipment required) lurid green drink for those occasions you want other people to wonder what the fuck you are drinking, rather than actually to drink for its intrinsic worth, which is somewhat akin to toothpaste. Take empty highball glass (or half-pint sleever) and add: English pub measures are probably adequate. Ice might be nice. Cherries, cocktail umbrellas and the like will probably detract from the effect.

Par"ra*keet` (?), Par"a*keet`, n. [See Paroquet.] Zool.

Any one of numerous species of small parrots having a graduated tail, which is frequently very long; -- called also paroquet and paraquet.

⇒ Many of the Asiatic and Australian species belong to the genus Paleornis; others belong to Polytelis, Platycercus, Psephotus, Euphema, and allied genera. The American parrakeets mostly belong to the genus Conurus, as the Carolina parrakeet (C. Carolinensis).
