Also called zornication. In mathematics, a standard technique using Zorn's lemma to produce an element of some poset satisfying some (usually non-finitistic) maximal property, even when constructively exhibiting some such element is provably impossible. The word zornification connotes that the argument involved is routine or even boring; used self-deprecatingly.
