No, that's not an animated gif. Don't believe me? Print it out, and it does the same thing.
Guest User! I think you should check out popisms.com.
I have written an e2 client called the E2 Explorer. I would appreciate any feedback you may have on it - good or bad. See the writeup for full details, but in a nutshell it has/can:
- Scrolling chatterbox client
- Browser-based interface
- Auto-refreshing nodelets
- Offline scratch pads
- Add friends (or foes) and see them highlighted in the catbox and in nodes
- All nodes have toolbars that let you create, edit, bookmark, msg, add favorites, save, and more
- Node tracker with practically any statistics you can imagine about your writeups
- Creates homenode lists and nodegel graphs - see below for examples
- ...much more
I also run a new E2-related web site called the E2 Annex located at http://www.surveytome.com/e2/. It contains several features including:
- Famous Noders - find out what noders have published books, poetry, short stories, etc.; written or starred in films or TV and more.
- Noder Sites - view the personal and professional home pages, social networking sites, and blogs of your fellow noders
- E2 Node Statistics Project - a project I started on my own to gather statistics about nodes, writeups, and users on the site. For example, have you ever wanted to know which users have the highest/lowest XP, the most writeups, the highest/lowest merit, etc.? How about which writeup has the most/least upvotes, the highest/lowest reputation, the most/least downvotes, the longest/shortest writeups, etc.? This site is where you can find that information.
- E2 Explorer - this site where you can download my e2 client
- E2 Gatherings Coordination and RSVP (under construction at this time) - hosts and hostesses of E2 Gatherings (aka, nodermeets) can track RSVPs online. It will also include a maps (of the gathering location, and where the attendees are coming from).
- E2 Globe - see where noders live
- More to come... if you have any ideas for an E2 resource site, please let me know.
Please note that just because you see my name in the Other Users nodelet does not necessarily mean that I am online. I often run scripts that access E2 for various tasks (including the one below) that make it appear that I am online. So if you msg me and I don't respond as soon as you think I should, please keep this in mind.
Interesting things said about me in the catbox
<Halspal> Whenever I worry about my fanatic affection for E2, I'm comforted by one of in10se's psychotic daylogs.
<Halspal> Somebody hook that brother up with an E2 Exit Counsellor.
<kthejoker> in10se is awesome, and even if he does nothing else codewise for the site, he will remain awesome in perpetuity. So shall it be decreed.
I have voted on every writeup by the following 1499 authors:

E2 Milestones
- Early June 2002 - Discovered E2 by finally giving in and clicking the link on Slashdot.
- June 26, 2002 - Decided I liked this place. Got my username and became a poor newbie Initiate.
- June 27, 2002 - Became an I Noder.
- August 1, 2002 - Became a V Noder.
- August 1, 2002 - Became an X Noder.
- August 26, 2002 - I have earned my E2 Naturalization and Citizenship and been given the right to vote.
- September 2, 2002 - EDB had me over for my first dinner party.
- October 15, 2002 - Made a sudden unexpected jump to Level 3 due to the beginning of the Honor Roll. The only real difference I see so far is that I can see who to blame for nodeshells, and it takes me twice as long to spend my votes. Today is also the 420th anniversary of the Gregorian Calendar.
- November 23, 2002 - Passed the 1000XP mark. I'm still waiting for the laserbeam shooting sword I was promised.
- November 27, 2002 - Received my first Ed Cool for the E2 Link and Logger Client. Thanks NinjaPenguin!
- April 04, 2003 - Became an L noder.
- April 14, 2003 - I have a writeup hit a rep of 100 (I used to get excited when they broke 10)
- May 2003 - I had my first (of many) serial downvoter. Now I feel like I belong.
- July 16, 2003 - "What about the tons of animal poop?", a quote from my writeup in Noah's Ark becomes the catbox topic
- July 18, 2003 - Made it to Level 4 with my 78th writeup
- July 20, 2003 - I gave my first C! to MALTP. Mmmmm... Angry Beaver.
- August 1, 2003 - I have a second writeup reach a rep of 100.
- September 8, 2003 - To the best of my knowledge, I am the first person to have an E2 Nuke Request C!ed (and multiple times at that).
- September 17, 2003 - Became a C noder.
- September 20, 2003 - Jumped up a bit on the Other Users list. Thanks for letting me help out.
- May 10, 2004 - Made it to Level 5 with my 129th writeup.
- January 1, 2005 I reached 10000 XP
- April 16, 2005 I got a C! from thefez.
- May 18, 2005 Got to level 7.
- June 2005 Made it onto Everything's Best Users (by merit, without admins or fled users)
- Late 2005 Made it onto Everything's Best Users (by merit, but including admins and fled users)
- November 24, 2005 Pardoning of the presidential turkey receives a reputation of 100 on Thanksgiving day
Below this point are statistics and stuff about my writeups as generated by my E2 Explorer client. If you don't care about such things, stop scrolling now.
