Seminal Olympia Indie Rock band fronted by gravel-voiced Calvin Johnson (founder of K Records and member of the Go Team, Dub Narcotic, and the Halo Benders) and angel-voiced Heather. Their distinctive, lo-fi approach led to their alternately being deified (by the likes of Kurt Cobain) and vilified (by the likes of Courtney Love).
Worth a listen.
