The last
Sonic the Hedgehog game released for the
Sega Genesis. Released in 1997, the game is a
Super Mario All-Stars-style collection of
Sonic games:
Sonic the Hedgehog,
Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.
The included games are original to their single-cartridge counterparts, with the only actual new thing on the cartridge being a simple menu that allows you to choose which game to play. The only change is that there is a color error in the original Sonic the Hedgehog that results in parts of the background in the Scrap Brain Zone cycling through different colors than in the stand-alone cartridge.
The game is called Sonic Compilation in Europe.
