As a straight-forward Windows text editor, this program makes an excellent replacement for notepad. It is superior in almost every way—supporting robust search and replace, document formatting—even macro recording/playback.
Of particular note is a feature called the clip library. It allows you to save frequently-used items in a configurable library. This library can be displayed to the left of the window for quick reference. The program comes with libraries for HTML, JavaScript, Pop!Talk, CSS - even ANSI and control characters. More are available at the textpad.com.
IMHO this thing makes a kick-ass HTML editor. I've cranked out several sites with it.
look ma I rescued a nodeshell!
