A sonnet by John Schafer.
Cookie, sweet cookie I love thee so,
Sometimes I look at you and say yo,
Your chocolate is so chunky and moist,
With your goodness my heart you do hoist.
My mommy makes cookies that are good,
Waiting at the oven for my cookies I stood,
Watching the heat prepare them with love,
Hoping mommy would put on her glove,
But no, instead would come the belt,
And boy my ass would have a welt.
