theres a girl somewhere.
standing, out of breath.
staring at a spiral path
cut into the side of a mountain.

she knows she will run.
around, and upward
getting dizzy, sometimes laughing
sometimes her eyes will bug out.

its just that first step
difficult, to wrench free
she'll reach the top, she knows.
its where her feet are planted now.

    repeat.
