Released in 1979, this was the third album by the British art-punk band Wire. By this album they are clearly post-punk and experimenting. The album title supposedly comes from the number of live gigs they'd had up until the time the album was recorded.

There are two catchy pop melodies that are hard to get out of your head - 40 Versions and Map Ref. 41°N 93°W.

The album is inconsistent, but there is enough here to make it worth your while.
