Pharaoh of Egypt, King Amenhotep III, ruled Egypt from 1386 to 1349 B.C. He ruled for almost 40 years, and during that time Egypt was prosperous.

Amenhotep III took the throne at 12 years old. He took many wives, most of which are still mumified and safe in Egypt. His most notable building achievements were The Temple of Amun, and the Colossi of Memnon. During his reign, the general building style noticably change to one with more finesse.

He died at the age of 50, in his 39th year on the throne. His tomb is in the Valley of Kings, identified as number KV22.
