British DJ and
producer, Andrea has a taste for super dark
trip-hop, much like recent
Massive Attack except nastier. She uses her
ARP synth to make some incredible
old skool video game type sounds. Her recent
LP,
Kiss My Arp, on the
Mo' Wax label, also features her voice and
cello work. It's the perfect soundtrack for
sleep deprivation. She frequently works with producer
David Morley, and has remixed
Depeche Mode,
The Orb,
Ryuichi Sakamoto, and
Lamb. She has received at least one noise ordinance ticket after playing
dub plates at insane volumes in clubs.
Ms. Parker has also recorded as Two Sandwiches Short of a Lunchbox.
She has recently launched a ghetto tech label called Touchin' Bass. The first release in this label will be called Freaky Bitches and will feature DJ Godfather.
