Character played by Lisa Whelchel on the late-70s NBC sitcom The Facts of Life. Blair embodied the preppy (or preppie) fashion and lifestyle trends of that era. Beautiful, popular, snobbish, delicate, and ditzy, Blair's upper-class breeding and aloofness were the source of many of the show's plotlines and gags, and were often contrasted with the tough, streetwise style of Jo (played by Nancy McKeon).
