'British Racing Green', or simply 'BRG' as its fans often call it, is a very dark shade of 'forest' green used very commonly by manufacturers of British sports cars, especially in the 60's and 70's. BRG is most commonly found on cars made by Jaguar, Lotus, MG, Morgan and Triumph, and is also a very popular colour for Minis, especially in conjunction with the classic white roof and bonnet stripes.

Where it might seem odd for one to apply such significance to what is 'just a colour', BRG is (as much as it might seem trite) more than just a colour.

BRG is a way of life.

That funny old man down the street who drives an old MGA convertible, which sets off other people's car alarms wherever he goes, and who wears a hat even when he's got the top up? He's BRG.

The young bloke with black grease under his fingernails from the twentieth time he dismantled his Mini's carburettor in a week? He's BRG.

That time you drove out to a field somewhere and had a picnic on a tartan blanket next to your car? You were BRG.
