A book by Richard Quebedeaux about the cult of personality in American Protestantism. Quebedeaux, who was an evangelical Christian himself, used his insider's entree and perspective to critique the sub-culture to which he belonged.

Perhaps his only lapse in judgement was in describing Tammy Faye Bakker as "attractive."
