Captain of the Tantive IV who meets his end at the hand of Darth Vader.
It isn't likely that he was unaware of Princess Leia's political affiliation and of the mission she was undertaking, therefore he died trying to save her.
C-3P0 and R2-D2 were put under his charge for an indeterminate amount of time.
