Released in 1997, this film starred Harvey Keitel, Stephen Dorff, and Timothy Hutton, and was directed by John Irvin. The plot focused on an experienced robber named Roy Egan, played by Keitel, who is asked by his brother Lee (Hutton) to join him on a jewel heist. They are also joined by another guy played by Dorff who ends up double-crossing the two and killing Lee. Roy then spends the rest of the movie plotting revenge.

There were a couple of good things about this modern day film noir:

• The great soundtrack. While most of the tracks were from other albums, it was simply one of the best compilations that I ever came upon. It included tracks by Massive Attack, Tricky, Bomb the Bass, Death in Vegas, and Photek.
• Lucy Liu gets naked...she does play a stripper, after all.

Unfortunately, the movie didn't do so well at the box office but has a great shelf life at the video store.
