Glimmer.
Glimmer is currently the most advanced text/code editor for GNOME. It is a full featured code editor with many advanced features, including scripting integration via Python.
At the current time, Glimmer has syntax highlighting support for the following languages: Ada, Bash/Sh, C/C++, DTML, HTML, Java, Latex, GNU Make, Object Caml, Perl, PHP, PO (Language Translation), Python, Lisp (guile, scheme, etc), SGML, SQL, Tcl/Tk, WML, XML, and Z80 Assembly.
Features include:
- Multiple file loading.
- File information such as current line, total lines, ascii value of current bite.
- Insert many common text segments such as ChangeLog entry, current date/time.
- Auto-indentation, with the option to use spaces rather than tabs - very handy for LPC!
- Bracket matching.
- Python scripting support.
Glimmer is procuded by Chris Phelps, and is a very useful program.
