The Germans came close to siezing the Soviet capital, but thanks to a bitter winter like the one that crippled the French Army two centuries before, the Nazi war machine was stopped, giving the Red Army to recoup and push the Germans back.

Medal consists of a gold disk hanging from a white ribbon with thick red stripes. One the disk is the image of a tank rolling past the Kremlin.
