The Don
jail was constructed before
Canada confederated, and still in use today, although the older sections have been sealed off. It was the site of
Canada's last legal
execution, of Ronald Turpin and Arthur Lucas in 1962, and housed the infamous
Boyd Gang. Inmates sometimes relate stories of hauntings by doomed convicts from the 1800's.
