Ensenada is a medium-sized coastal Mexican city in the state of Baja. It's a common stop for cruise ships, and since it's only a quick 2-hour drive from the American border at San Ysidro (just south of San Diego), it's also quite popular with American tourists out for a little weekend getaway.

The full name of the city is actually Ensenada de Todos Los Santos (Inlet of All The Saints), and it's the fourth largest city in Baja.

A short boat-ride across the bay takes you to Isla de Todos Los Santos, a beautiful little island with world-class surfing conditions.
