In my spare time, I'm working on an anonymity project. It's a cooperative network where net folks will proxy out their services to other cooperating users.
AT&T did something similar with something called Crowds, but that's only for http. Incidently, the http portion of my project will work quite similarly to AT&T's, but I also intend to include services for email, web hosting, ftp, and eventually things like telnet. If there is a transparent method of implementing any service, I will consider doing so. There is an obscure site for the project here: http://www.isn.net/~goat/Anonymity/
