norse god of weather and fertility. he ruled over the land of the light elves, Alfheim. his dwarf-made ship, Skidbladnir, could sail on land, sea, or air. it could hold all the gods, yet could be folded up and fit into a pocket. like freya, frey also owned a chariot but his was drawn by two boars, Gullinbursti (means "golden-bristled") and Slidrugtanni.

his name means "lord," as freya's name means lady. he is also known as yng and is named the progenitor of the swedish royal family.
