I don't read that many magazines but Future Music is one I even subscribed to.
This magazine is aimed at introducing music-related technologies, activists and concepts to the musican, the DJ or the music lover.
A typical Future Music mag is divided in the following parts :

• news : short paragraphs about forthcoming new instruments, or indiscretions about famous artists.
• hardware or software reviews : my personal favorite as they actually test some stuff and will give it a bad mark if they don't like it (which happens quite often).
• hints and tips : readers submit some queries and some professional just give them the best way to do it. Also consists of written classes in order to either reproduce some artist's sound or to get in grips with some software or hardware.
• people interviews (Like Kraftwerk, Moa. Roni Size) : well, I guess I don't have to explain the whole thing here, except that they also give complete description of the given artist's set, which is cool to know; more artists than you think actually use some crappy gear to get some interesting sound.
• Reader's demoes : this part is interesting as any reader can send his music as well as the list of people who influenced him and his kit list and may have it published on the...
• ...CD: you not only read about a synthesizer, you hear it in action.

Future Music is generally quite ahead of its concurrents, which means they will typically introduce new gear, or new artists before the others, which is good to know.
As it is quite difficult to find outside of England, the best is to get to their website (http://www.futuremusic.co.uk/) and to subscribe on line. If you feel convinced, of course.
