A local name in Libya for a very hot, dry wind that blows from the heart of the Sahara desert out into the mediterranean sea. The name was adopted by Italian pilots in WWII for their scouting planes and later used in 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki (an airplane aficionado) for a newly founded animation studio, studio Ghibli.
