Homebush is the
Sydney,
Australia suburb that is home to the main
Sydney Olympic Games venues.
A western suburb of Sydney, it is essentially working class, and is one of the most poisoned areas of urban Sydney, being heavily polluted by toxic industries (including chemical, gasworks, meatworks, and tanneries) in the early 20th century.
Environmental repatriation of the sites has been undertaken, but decades may be needed before a definitive answer may be available on it's fitness for human habitation.
