Kikuko Inoue is a
famous voice actress, or "
seiyuu" for
anime in
Japan. Her
roles are
many and varied, but in
America, she's famous for doing
Belldandy in "
Oh My Goddess!",
Kasumi in "
Ranma 1/2",
Rune Venus in "
El-Hazard", and several other roles.
Her voice has an ethereal quality to it, sort of a misty sentimental timbre that I find extremely soothing. Oddly enough, her singing voice isn't as good as her speaking voice, in my opinion, though I'm sure scores of rabid Kikuko fans would kill me for saying so. I'd pay good money for a collection of, say, Heian poetry on recorded by her.
