Killer Cuts was the soundtrack to the Killer Instinct fighting game from Nintendo/Rare. It was given free to the buyers of the first 100,000 or so copies of the SNES version.

  1. K. I. Feeling - a quasi-progressive trance track featuring a processed female vocal. Based on the music from Orchid's stage
  2. The Way U Move - goofy house track, featuring the KI announcer rapping! This one has the same female singer as the previous track.
  3. Controlling Transmission - Based on the music from Glacius' stage, this is what I guess one could call ambient Latin house. It's probably the best dance track on this whole CD. This one also has samples of the announcer.
  4. Oh Yeah - Loosely based on Chief Thunder's theme tune, this track is a slow Latin house number with a female "Oh Yeah!" sung on top, and dubbed-out samples of Chief Thunder's Native American chanting. There's also an Enigma-style interlude.
  5. It's A Jungle - this is surprisingly a jungle track. It sounds almost like something LTJ Bukem would play: smooth synth pads over quick beats that aren't all that hard. It's got samples of presumably a jungle inhabitant chanting with samples of "Kick It!" on top.
  6. Do It Now! - This is the music from Jago's stage, remixed a little into a slightly danceable form, i.e. there's an annoying "Let's Do It Now!" sample every so often, à la "The Bad Touch"
  7. Full-bore - a mechanical tune, sortofmaybe industrial, with samples of clangs for percussion and harsh strings throughout. This is the music for Fulgore's stage.
  8. The Instinct - the Killer Instinct theme. This is the music that plays during attract mode.
  9. Yo Check This Out! - a rather weak hip-hop attempt. Horn hits and human beatbox samples abound, but it lacks soul in a big way. This is the music to TJ Combo's stage.
  10. Freeze - another hip-hop attempt. This one came out a little better.
  11. Trailblazer - this is Cinder/Meltdown's theme, also played in the Air Box. Straight-up rock in 6/8
  12. Tooth & Claw - Sabrewulf's theme. Spooky haunted house music with organs and stuff
  13. Ya Ha Haa - Spinal's theme, with his laugh and a beat played on what sounds like a skeleton.
  14. Rumble - Riptor's theme. Lots of shakuhachi and a really weird syncopated synth lead.
  15. The Extreme - Eyedol's theme, followed by the triumphant ending music.
  16. Humiliation - the Humiliation music. Silly circus-disco stuff
