Quite simply, a slang term used to refer to a computer that runs some flavor of the Linux operating system. Different flavors include but are not limited to Redhat Linux, Corel Linux, Linux Mandrake, and Debian GNU/Linux. A linux box may or may not include a monitor. Plural forms include linux boxes and linux boxen. If you are setting one up for the first time, you may need the help of a linux geek or a linux ninja. Many people use this term to distinguish their linux box from their Windows box.
