The real name of Marco Polo, an ethnic Croatian born in Korcula. Some speculate the last name was Italianized earlier in the history and thus his real real name(TM) would be Marko Pilich.

This is not some dumbass propaganda, but a fact told in writing by Marko Polo himself in his book "Livres Des Merveilles Du Monde", later named "Millions".
