Kruskal, Martin David (1925-). Kruskal is a physicist and a mathematician, specializing in logic, magnetohydrodynamics, controlled fusion and relativity. He is perhaps best known for the Kruskal coordinates, which simplify understanding of spherically symmetric vacuum solutions to Einstein's equations.
