This theory, first formulated by myself in the year 1999, states that the town you live in will always appear more boring than any other town on the face of the Earth, and that when you move to a new town to live a more interesting life, your new home will seem more boring than your old home.

Another nonsense theory by --OutpostMir--.

I suppose Holland, MI is a perfect example of this theory. Every May, hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world come here to look at the tulips and watch the numerous parades, fireworks, etc. I think Britney Spears was here this year. But if you ask any teenage H-town resident what they think of their home, the first words they speak will be curses and complaints about how boring Holland is. I admit, I say it just as much as most others do. But when you really think about it, there's a lot here. We've got the county fair in July, Tulip Time in May, the State Park and several other beaches at out disposal, not to mention two malls, two movie theatres, and a lifetime of memories for us native kids. And yet it still feels boring.
