A nonsexual crush is a strong admiration of an individual who is the wrong gender to be a target of a particular individual's sexual desire.

If they were the right gender, though, vavoom.

An example of this is George's crush on Dan Cortes (Elaine's mimbo) in an episode of Seinfeld.
