Nutri-grain is a Kellogg's cereal whicht is one of those cereals that claims to hold all the nutrients most important to start off your day "right". If one reads the box it includes "6 vitamins including folate" as well as iron, calcium, carbohydrate and protein.
The actual cereal looks like a small rectangle with three holes in it. Often the three holes split and so there is only two or one extended hole in the middle of the piece of cereal. They can also break off, and so there is just a side of the piece rather then a full one, or parts could be chipped off or a side may have become strangely huge compared to the average piece of Nutri-grain. The average size for each piece of cereal is approximately 20mm x 8mm x 7mm.
I suppose that, like most, or, indeed, all cereals it is meant to be devoured with milk, in the morning, but I quite enjoy a bowl as finger food while reading a good book. However, it must be noted that without milk they are quite crunchy and can be annoying to eat dry, especially with a headache. However, with milk, care must be taken that the cereal does not become too soggy, because, as with Weetbix it is awful to eat when too soggy. Sugar is not needed to enjoy this cereal as they are already flavored, but I cannot name the flavor. (BlackPawn tells me it is malt and lots and lots of sugar. Perfect for kids!)
They are sold mostly for kids, and it is a rare day when I see an adult eating Nutri-grain, but if you look at the shiny, brown packaging of the cereal then it is noticed that at least one, overly muscled man doesn't mind being put on the box.
I must add that there is also a Nutri-grain energy bar. They are wonderful for snacks at school, and I believe that the ones in Aussie, at least, are half-covered in chocolate. There goes your illusion of being healthy.
