Often used in a MUD or MUSH to refer to vanishing without an in-game reason. A player saying "I'm going to poof, I need sleep" while OOC means they plan going to log off, without giving the character any reason to leave the scene, or even describing it in any way.

Frowned upon in serious roleplay.
