Sadness is just a crack in my life
That I fall into, sometimes.
Careless, clumsy, and tired
not watching, unaware of the time.

sadness is just a crack in the sidewalk
a space unexpected, and dark
I'd rather not visit, just step over chasms
It'd feel like a walk in the park.

A painful reminder of frailty
my propensity to step in harm's way.
This sidewalk, the smoothness ends shortly
A new route will come up today.

Sadness is just a crack in my life
That I fall into, sometimes.

mad props to etouffee for noodging me to finish this.
