I don't know if I should be writing this, given that I am in fact a member of this band, so this can hardly be impartial, but Stealth Munchkin are a small enough band that I have a feeling no-one else is going to create a node about them...

The band formed in Manchester, England in 1998, and has undergone several line-up changes. Influences include the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, Frank Zappa, Olivia Tremor Control, and more than you actually want to know.

Given that I'm incapable of providing any impartial critical commentary, I'll simply provide a brief history of the band. For more, see http://www.stealthmunchkin.com

The band were formed in 1998 by Andrew Hickey (myself) and Rebecca Malings, and have recorded 3 albums to date:

Throw The Night (2000), the band's first album, featured Rebecca and myself plus Trevor DeMont, Stephen Bray, Sam Evaskitas and Gareth Walker.

September Songs (2000), the second album, featured a stripped down line-up of myself, Rebecca, Ste and Trevor.

Rebecca left for the third album, Cat Satisfaction Survey and was replaced by Geoff Howe.

The band's lineup on stage is fairly fluid. If you see us play, I and Ste will definitely be there, along with some or more of Geoff, Trevor, Sam and Gavin Robinson our new bass player. For gigs in 2002 we have often been joined by Tim Dykes on drums.

Members over the years:
Rebecca Malings - vocals (1998-2000)
Stephen Bray - vocals
Trevor DeMont - guitars, bass, drums
Andrew Hickey - guitars, bass, keyboards
