Part of the reason Steve Morse's guitar chops are so breathtaking is that he doesn't use (many, if any) hammer-ons or pull-offs. In other words, he picks every note. For someone with his speed, that's amazing.

Morse described his music with the Dregs as "electronic chamber music".
