The Didache, or the Teaching of the Twelve Apostles.

A very ancient, possibly First Century, Christian document. Describes the ethical paths to life and death in general terms, then focuses on church life in an age when evangelists and prophets still roamed from town to town. The Didascalia and Apostolic Constitutions are in the opinion of most scholars later expansions of the Didache. This is the translation by Charles H. Hoole, taken from the St. Pachomius Library, in the public domain.
