Yuki fureba
Fuyugomori seru
Kusa mo ki mo
Haru ni shirarenu
Hana zo sakikeru

 When the snow crystals
Fall on the sleeping trees and
Grasses there bloom wild
Flowers that are never seen
On branches or stems in spring
