Elderly women should drink more alcohol to prevent osteoporosis.

Resent research by The American Society for Clinical Nutrition show that Alcohol got a positive effect on bone mineral density (BMD) in moderate drinkers. Women that drink 28.6 to 57.2 g/wk of alcohol have a significantly higher BMD at almost every skeletal site than nondrinking women.
