Youngest-ever host of Blue Peter (age 18, 1987 to 1992) and famous (well, infamous, in the UK at least) for making the worst-ever pancake on one of the live programme's regular cooking slots. The segment crops up regularly on various outtake programmes, not least those hosted by the dreary Denis Norden.
First appeared in early 80's BBC children's programme Sea View (which was nothing to with Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, incidentally). Also hosted other 90's children's TV programmes, including Motormouth on ITV.
Now hosts ghost-hunting programme Most Haunted on UK cable TV channel Living TV, in which she is frequently reduced to blubbering hysterics.
