Back to the Future: The Ride, at Universal Studios. one of those hands must be attached to a wrist which does not suffer from
carpal-tunnel syndrome.
The inside of the baseball cap represents the domical vault motion picture screen. The toy car represents the ride vehicle. Your hand with the good wrist represents the motion platform mechanism.
Grip the car by its sides with the good hand. With your other hand, hold the baseball cap with the brim tilted slightly downward. Hold the car inside the baseball cap and wiggle it around.
Few motion platforms move with torsion like turning your head to look left and right. BTTF:TR is no exception. Left and right turns are simulated by synchronizing the motion-picture film with a combination of pitch, like nodding your head, and yaw, like cocking your head to get water out of your ear. To correctly simulate the motion of the ride, you may bounce the car straight up and down, wiggle its front and rear bumpers up and down, and tilt it side to side, but do not, under any circumstances, twist your wrist.
If you carefully follow all the instructions above, you will travel forward in time several minutes.
