An HTML tag that plays a .wav or .mid sound on a web page. It only works on Microsoft Internet Explorer, though, and an author should use it only within <noembed> tags because otherwise, new versions of IE that also support Netscape's <embed> tag will begin to play two layers of the same sound on top of each other and out of sync.

Syntax: <noembed><bgsound src="foo.mid" loop="infinite"></noembed>
