I tripped over my words
and stubbed my toe on the hints I dropped.
I cut my teeth on these words
and wince at your sharp tongue.
ducking at your backhanded remarks.
Now, I've hit the wall-
and am left to climb it.
Instead of gaining traction I'm in it.

Falling in love-love is blind- Ouch.
