Australian slang to mean one's friend or mate. It's not used by anyone that I would consider a friend (except perhaps in jest), but I have met people who use the term regularly.
Usages:
- "G'day cobber!"
- "Ahh, me old cobber."
- "Yeah! Of course he is! He's me cobber for life!"
