To customize is to tailor an item to your needs or to your personality.

Common examples:

  • A customized computer for dangerous environments, with a HEPA filter, an inch thick lead shield, and 3 redundant power supplies (you think I'm joking? Let me find a picture).
  • A customized van with a spiffy paint job, and a back door held together by bumper stickers.
  • A customized salad from your salad bar.
  • A customized RealDoll to look exactly like your girlfriend.
  • A customized mix CD, made with love by your child, with a bunch of songs you can't even stand.
