One of the surface proteins of HIV. Name signifies that it is a glycoprotein with a mass of 120 Kilodaltons. Interacts with the T-helper cell receptor CD4. Considered to be a possible target for a HIV vaccine. Formed by the cleavage of gp160 by the viral protease.
