Net curtains or "nets" are the things that
suburban people
twitch behind, particularly very
nosey people who are involved in
neighbourhood watch schemes. Made of
polyester or similar cheap
man-made fabrics and looking dead common.
The net curtain brigade is a dying breed, and nets are certainly not favoured by the ever-growing Ikea loving population of England - who prefer a nice spot of muslin, or beechwood shutters.
