A pseudonym used by a painter or other graphical artist.

Nom de brosse would translate to 'brush name' in English. I have been unable to find out if nom de brosse is a true French phrase or a English attempt to sound intellectual; judging from the ratio of French/English results from a Google search, I would guess the later. It is probably more correct to use the blanket term nom de guerre.
