Object activation framework, or OAF, is the new method of inter-process CORBA communication for the Gnome project. In Gnome 2.0, OAF will completely replace GNORBA.

Each OAF server is now described with an XML file defining the object and it's exported attributes. OAF also has a built-in query language.
